12 years ago, I resigned as a lecturer and practitioner in Palliative Care and Professional Counselling to look after my daughter. What followed was a somewhat convoluted, and at times very difficult, sequence of events that ultimately led me to designing and making jewellery - something that I had never done before but quickly developed a love and a passion for. Each day brings new challenges, new techniques to master (and learn!) and every piece I sell brings me great satisfaction - when I sell something, it gives me a reason to make something else!
Not only is my work available to buy from my online store but, if you happen to be in Cambridge, I am at All Saints' Craft Market every Saturday throughout the year and, weather permitting, Fridays July and August and selected weekdays in the run up to Christmas.
Each piece of Sellis of Cambridge .925 Sterling Silver jewellery is produced from that initial concept and design to finished product, locally in my Cambridge workshop. In accordance with The Hallmarking Act 1973, each item over 7.78g in weight is stamped with my unique Hallmark so that you can be sure that what your buying is of the quality and standard you expect.Only top-grade freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones and sterling silver findings are used in the making of my jewellery.
There is a wide range of designs available for both formal and day wear and enquiries regarding bespoke pieces always welcome. I absolutely love what I do, even when my workshop is freezing cold and each passing minute is accompanied by the rhythmic drip of my leaky roof and so, thank you to all my loyal customers who continue to support my need to design, create and make!
